The demo comes up and fills in all the squares with pics. But then when I click on one, The screen greys but that's it. It works on my machine. :)
It could be that flickr is acting up. This demo doesn't have anything fancy like loading indicators or error messages, as I didn't want it to get too messy. So, not sure. If anyone else has issues with this demo, please leave a bug report on the blog post with platform and player version.
