Hi Paddy,

I only just saw this post and had a look at your presentation PDF, application and source code. I haven't watched the video yet but look forward to checking it out later tonite...

I would like to ask if you'd like to contribute the PureMVCPopupManager class. This appears to take the source snippet and subsequent discussion / advice of this thread: http://forums.puremvc.org/index.php?topic=105.msg367#msg367 and turns it into a concrete useable class. And it adds modal and centered params. And a demo.

It's just one class, but it's a great implementation. I'd like to put it into a repository and have it available as a standard utility. The repositories are filling up (30 projects so far!) and the goal is not only to have demos to show the way, but to start to fill the shelves with 'off-the-rack' solutions to common problems.

I wonder if you'd care to 'own' the project? We'd credit Daniele Ugolett as well, (who contributed the original snippit) in the code attribution. It'd be great to have your demo in the repository as to show how to use the utility.

If you'd be interested in contributing the demo and utility, have a look at the Contributor Central post: http://forums.puremvc.org/index.php?topic=142.0 for a little info about how the community contributions are being handled. Or contact me separately and I'll give you a peek at what's going on.

Although there are a number of presentations out there that have been given (such as the one this topic mentioned originally) I don't know of any video tutorials with examples. But, serindipitously, that is the main thing I've been thinking about this week, and I'm hoping to get something available soon. I'll be playing with the various tools to see what the format will be and how to record and edit in the screencast, talking head and slideshow components in the next few days.

I'd be willing to help in such a project. Video production is on my 'can do' list.

Cool, I definitely will.

Right now I'm playing with Adobe Visual Communicator 3 which I picked up a couple of MAXs back and am pretty impressed with it.

I'll contact you offline for feedback on early tests.
